Hi, we've never met, but I'll be joining you for the malt, the shopping, the park playing, the book browsing, and the napping. In fact, my T13 for today has some similarities to yours- sightseeing, playing with small boys, shoes, sleeping. Stop by and say hi.

I'd love to be shopping!! Walmart, Mall of America, Old Navy, even the grocery store would be fine, lol. I'm trapped with no vehicle until we get my van fixed!

awwww, what a great way to show off a creative list!!

Happy T13!!

I would rather have a clean house, no stress and having multiple hours to read!!!

Shopping, eating and sleep just sound good!!!
tanx for stopping by my tt!!
(Shopping 'til I drop would be very good, but just tomorrow, too late now for today!!)

Replace Hooters with Lucille's, malts with shakes, dancing with bowling, and shoe shopping with movie shopping, and I'll be right there with ya!

Great thirteen! Wonderful composition and gorgeous pictures. I'm really impressed!
I'd rather be napping, as well. But the T.T.'s were calling! :D
Here from the "meet and greet"...I commented right after you.
And I'm glad I did!
Have a great week.

Great list, and I loved the accompanying pics. The one of your dad's headstone was very poignant and lovely that you remember him and include him. :-)

The Shoes! Yes! Need some new shoes! :D Sleeping looks so good and comforting ~ ahhh!

I keep hearing about Borders. I have never seen one b4. We have a Barnes and Nobles and Books A Million here. Nice to meet you! :)

Great List!!!

Me....well its freezing here so I'd love to be on a beach somewhere, with a margarita!

Happy TT!!!

OK, clearly #4!!! Ah, the spaciousness of roble gym depicted in your picture is calming. I don't know why.

But yes, DANCING. It fixes (almost) anything.

I did #12 on Saturday! Yay for Disneyland's off-season deals for locals!

Great list! We just got a Hooters in London I have yet to go there. Space Mountain totally rocks. My favorite ride ever, and Borders *sigh* wish we had a Borders here.

Happy TT, thanks for dropping by mine.

I LOVE that you included #11. One of the best games of Scrabble I ever played took place when I was an inmate myself.

And I've never been to Hooters, but I've heard the food is good. Should I make an effort to get that sandwich? :)

That dance studio is GORGEOUS. Wow. I'd like to dance there, and I'm not a dancer!

happy TT! I'd rather be... well, writing. I'd always rather be writing, though. But visiting TTers is great fun, too.

Very nice use of photos in your 13! I'm impressed!

Happy Thursday! I agree with many of the things on your list, but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Disney World. I grew up about an hour away from there and spent much of my childhood at the parks. So much fun!

Happy Thursday!

What an awesome list! That dance studio is GORGEOUS! Wow...

It's so sweet of you to visit your dad! :)

Great list, thank you for sharing.

I would have to agree with CC. Dancing at Roble dance studio. There's something so wonderful about that space.

lisa - well, we can meet while having malts, going shopping, playing in the park, browsing for books, and taking a nap. :)

qtpies7 - oooh, old navy. good call. i'm a fan of old navy. but even more so? target. target is amazing.

dangerously simple - creative? eh, i'm not so sure. but thanks!

amy - i love that you come visit for every TT. :) why don't you visit more often, though? come say hi on a non-thursday!

HBM - how about 10 followed by 13? mmmmmm...

jill - yep, shop til you drop, which is pretty much what i just suggested to HBM above.

OP - but if i make those replacements, it's no longer where *i'd* rather be, silly.

janean - yeah, when i drafted it, i was at work. when i was posting it and commenting on other TT'ers, i was pretty much doing exactly what i wanted to be doing. :)

jaci - thank you for your sweet words. i remember him often, so i couldn't think of not including him.

queen of wands - borders is basically a less pretentious version of barnes and noble. i'm sad for you for not having one around!

miranda - me, i'm more a pina colada girl, but we can chill on the beach together with our fruity bits o' alcohol. :)

CC - calming is the perfect word for it, because it really is just that. dance space... ahhhh...

teacher anonymous - ACK! i'm so jealous! i miss disneyland! :(

amy r. - get yourself out to hooters, definitely. soooo tasty!

jen - yay for fellow inmates livin life on the outside! and yes, get to hooters asap and get a sandwich. so good!

susan - yes, the writing is always nice. but technically, i was writing, so... ;)

california teacher guy - well thank you! it gave it that something special it needed. :)

christina - yeah, i can relate, because i grew up 20 minutes from disneyland in anaheim. i even had an annual pass for three years. oh, how i miss it...

rashenbo - yep, the studio is awesome. and yes, i wish i lived nearer my dad, so i could visit more often. there's something very calming about being near him, even though i know he's not technically there anymore.

dancing dragon - there is, right? especially seeing it all empty like that, with the sun coming through the windows, and both sets of curtains wide open to the mirrors. so nice.

aly - i'll get right on that, chook! ;)

DK - yep, i'm pretty much always happy blogging too. but as i said above, when i was drafting the list, i was at work, so that's more the reference in the "what i'd rather be doing" list. :)

Thanks for stopping by my TT post the other day :)

I do think I'd rather be skating right now.....but it's late!

I love your house. So pretty!

Lara said...

belle - you are quite welcome, m'dear. skating, huh? ice or roller? or does it even matter? i prefer ice, myself.

and sadly, the house is no longer mine, though i still think of it as such. it's the house in which i grew up. spent 17 years there, but after my dad died we couldn't afford it, and we sold it, and i went to live with my grandparents. i still miss it a lot. because yeah, it's a pretty house.
