I’d Like to Thank the Little People…

Caffeinated Librarian recently brought something to my attention. Apparently, the world has finally recognized my awesomeness, because I am Time’s Person of the Year. Of course, I couldn’t allow this momentous occasion to pass by unnoticed, so I will here present my acceptance speech.

The winner is announced. Camera zooms in to a close-up on Lara. Eyes wide, her hands go to her cheeks as she gapes in shock. She gestures to her chest, checking with those around her – me? Is it me? Really? Shakily, she stands, swiping at tears as she makes her way to the podium. With a shaky intake of breath, she begins to speak.

Oh… Wow… I mean… Oh my goodness. I can’t believe it. I never thought – I mean, I always hoped, but… Wow.

Um, there are just so many people to thank! First and foremost, thanks to my family – Mom, and Seeser – for loving me and supporting me through it all. Thanks to Lady M, for introducing me to the world of blogs – that area of the “digital democracy” to which I contribute most – and all the possibilities therein. Thank you to Her Bad Mother, Mom101, Mocha Momma, and Mary P., the first major bloggers I started reading: Thank you for putting up with me and all the linky love I show you (which is probably more than you could ever want) as I find my way in this blogosphere. Thanks to all the amazing, lovely, wonderful blogging folks I’ve found over the past six months, for inspiring me and supporting me and giving me goals towards which to strive. And finally, thanks to all my readers – my loyal fans – for giving me an audience to which to write, for giving me support through your comment lovin’, for giving me laughs and tears and a reason to blog. I couldn’t have done this without you. Really.

Thank you so much for this award – I’ll never forget you!

... Okay, so admittedly, the award wasn’t just for me. It was also for you. So who would you like to thank?

Day 22 of LaBloShoeMo: The Lace Heels

I think these are my sexiest shoes. I have a lot of sexy shoes, but I think these are the all-time sexiest. One might even call them TMDAFM shoes (and you win total bonus points if you know what that stands for). I bought them recently, and just yesterday I bought a camisole that is also cream-colored with black lace overlaying it. It makes for an awesome combination, I must say. The design of peep-toe pumps is pretty sexy and stylish all by itself, but combined with a sultry satin bow in the front and lace around the sides and back, these fairly scream to be kicked off at the foot of the bed.

Sorry, was I daydreaming out loud again?

Does it mean "tickle me, dude, and fast, m'kay"?

I'd like to thank my introverted nature, as without it, I probably wouldn't have looked to the web for human contact and found so many awesome people.

christina - um, no. sorry. :-P

teacher anonymous - ah, excellent point. personally, i think mine's more due to a need for as much human contact as possible, so in addition to people in real life, i need internet friends, too. like you! :)

Well, it should. The ostensibly official meaning is rather ho-hum, don't you think? Throw me down and - what? Facilitate me? Whatever that means.

Ooooh! I know what the acronym means!

I KNOW!!! I KNOW!!! Call on ME!!!

CSH - um, sure. yep. facilitate me. my discussions flow terribly. please give me some facilitation help. :-P
