Already Missing It

I am home, though in many ways wishing I weren't. I already miss Malawi, not least of all because when I was there work really didn't exist, and now that I'm home, it's stressing me out again. But mostly I miss the kids - this one in particular:

Stories to come, but for now, tell me something wonderful that happened to you in the last two weeks. It could be a big wonderful or a little wonderful, but just something. I want to know what's up with you!

These pictures are awesome! I'm looking forward to your account of your trip.

A month ago I defended my thesis, which is pretty darn wonderful.

Beautiful!

Finley is on the brink of turning 2 and has taken to dramatically saying (to everyone but me) "You cry" before she'll kiss them Ham!
Avery is nearly 4 and to give her approval to anything gives two thumbs up and a hokey pirate wink.
Briar is in kindergarten and sings along to songs on the radio.
It is excruciating bliss. Thanks for letting me share.

Welcome home! I can't wait to hear about your travels.

I'm finding a little more balance in my life these days. That's not earth shattering, but it's pretty wonderful after a few years of chaos.

I ran a half marathon today.

I would much rather hear about your trip. I'm envious and it looks to have been such a rewarding experience. I can only imagine that working with typical US teenagers after something like that would be more than a tad cumbersome. Can't wait to hear and see all about it.

I've been feeling really physically unwell for months. The wonderful part? The day you wake up NOT feeling like shit - you feel SO GREAT to just Be.

Can't wait to see/hear more about it!

I had an ultrasound last week and while we were watching, the baby sucked his/her thumb! Just for a second or two but it was so sweet.

Let's see. I still have my job and got a good raise to boot. I 'm not craving sugar as much as I used to and my blood sugar has been good. I've lost some weight (giving up sugar and carbs will do that) and the doc might take me off the diabetes Meds. And while my computer has a nasty virus and I don't have it right now- it's on it's way to being fixed and I have my iPhone to comment on blogs! Trying to see the bright side y'know? Indeed, I truly Am fortunate.

It's always interesting to check in on your blog and since I think you look perfectly fine, just FYI: Unhappy With Your Looks? Or Is It a Disorder? http://bit.ly/cuOHfL
