The Song Will Be Stuck in Your Head All Day

Tomorrow I return to Africa for two weeks, and if it were raining, instead of wickedly hot and sticky, I would definitely bless the rains down in Africa.

Come on, you can't tell me you don't rock out when that Toto song comes on the radio.

I am currently not all that excited about the trip. But I know exactly why that is. I'm not excited because I've had no time to get excited. Instead, I've been super stressed out trying to get everything done. But I have no doubt that once I'm on my way to the airport tomorrow night, and even more once I'm at the airport with all the kids (yes, another missions trip with students from Christian School), I will be SO EXCITED.

It's going to be a really great trip. I love the kids who are going this year, and I know we'll have a great time growing and learning together. And best of all, we'll be working at the same center with many of the same kids. These kids. I am so looking forward to hugging and loving on those kids again. It really will be a wonderful time.

If I can just get all my work done first...

If you're feeling kind and generous, leave a comment for me to find and read and enjoy when I return in two weeks. Please? I need something comforting waiting for me on my return...

Have a good trip! It's cool that you're going to the same place. You guys can dive right in. And I'm sure the kids there like to have the same people come back.

It's interesting you wrote in your post about your last trip: "And I wonder if I'll ever see them again." I guess the answer is: yep.

Try not to, you know, get a malaria-like thing this time.

Safe travels! Can't wait to read about your adventures, although I'll pray that you stay healthy on this trip! And, totally, I love that Toto song. Gonna have to YouTube it now!

Dude, I'll still be singing this song long after the crispness of your african memories have faded.

Safe travels and have a terrific trip. And stay well. A malaria scare can really only be a once-in-a-lifetime deal, right?

actually, unless it randomly pops into my head later today, or whenever, I'm safe from the song. I'm entirely too scatterbrained and confused for this kind of thing. Ahh, a good flipside.

What wonderful news that you're going back! Actually, already back. :) You got so much out of it last time I'm glad you have the opportunity to experience it again. Can't wait to see more pics and hear more stories, hopefully without fevers.

As soon as I saw the title of this post in my feed reader a song popped into my head...
This is the song that doesn't end,
and it goes on and on my friend.
Some people starred singing it not knowing what it was,
and they'll continue singing it forever just because
This is the song that doesn't end...

Have a safe and wonderful trip and thank you for the musical diversion, Toto is much more agreeable.

How EXCITING! See I know you're having a fabulous time because I remember seeing your eyes light up when you talked about this trip last summer.
I was just thinking this morning that I would love to go to Africa. I'm going to have to live vicariously through your retelling of the trip!

I hope you were able to get excited and experience the joy of seeing the kids again and making a difference in their lives. (And I totally did get "Africa" stuck in my head.)

I think "Real Men of Genius" has been stuck in my head longer. I prefer Toto.

Welcome back! I love you!

I don't know if it's 'comforting' but I rock on to Toto on my IPOD. Africa on demand. Yes please.

Hope you have a great trip - without any sickies this time around. Looking forward to hearing about the trip and seeing the photos.

Why is it that when people travel to a specific country in Africa, they say " when I was in Africa",but when we go to example France,we don't say when I was in Europe, because Europe in not a country,it is a continent....
