Time Flies

Is it really Sunday again already? I swear, it feels like the weeks are just flying by. My students have started a countdown on the board of how many class days are left, and as of tomorrow? 10. Yep, 10. After those ten, we have two weeks of testing - STAR, AP, and regular finals. Then we're done for the year. I can't even belive we're almost done. And in my own classes at uni (dear God, I'm spending too much time with Aussie Boy), we are in the home stretch too. June 17 will be our graduation - that's less than two months! Seriously, where does the time go?

At any rate, as I said, it's Sunday, and that means...

Celebrating National Poetry Month

poems education student life - Poems are an inherent part of education and student life. Or, at least, they are when you're an English teacher.

im glad your in my life poems - I didn't realize I was in your life poems, but I guess "im" glad "your" writing about me. I just wish "you're" use of conjunctions didn't suck so much.

love poems saying that "i am jealous" - Ah, the creepy, stalker-ish, overly possessive love poems. One of my favorite styles.

life's ups and downs poems - Theoretically, couldn't just about all poems fall into this category?

mediocre poetry - I beg your pardon?! You will find none of that here, I assure you! Hrmph - I'm insulted you would even ask.

from whence it came poem - I wrote one of these. You can find it here.

poems about number thirteen - I haven't written any of these. Perhaps I will consider it as a potential topic for the future...

Sleepover, Boys, Laughter poem - Sounds simultaneously innocent and dirty. I'm anxious to read it when you're done.

the most beautiful poem for a sister so close - Surprisingly, I don't think I've ever written any poems about my sister. So I got nothing for you. I should probably do that, though, eh? Will work on it.

"So many ideas" poetry - Yeah, I always have too many ideas. I've probably had thousands of poem ideas that have never come to fruition. They're just lost to the universe. Maybe someone else finds them and writes them. It's a nice thought.

friendship poems about how do you stop your best friend from hurting herself - Some things aren't written in poems. Some things aren't really written anywhere. The best you can do is show her she's loved and hopefully get her to stop wanting to hurt herself.

POEM TO THANK TEACHES - Did you mean to say "TEACHERS"? If so, that's a sweet thought. If not, I have no idea what you're talking about, you ungrateful gremlin.

poem about finding truth - "'Beauty is truth, truth beauty' - that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know." From "Ode on a Grecian Urn" by John Keats.

Definitely NOT Responding with Pictures

girls naked pics - I'm sure there are plenty of other sites on which you can find these. You don't need me to post them here.

cute starbucks employee - But only because I haven't taken a picture. There definitely is one I see every day. He's probably about the same age as my students. *shudder*

asian leggs - I'm the only "leggs" you'll be seeing around here, kid.

tampon baggie - I'm not even sure what this is, but I'm not going to go searching for a picture to find out.

getting my hair shampooed - I've never cared enough to take a picture of this. It's nice and all, but I don't need photographic evidence of it.

pictures of major bedhead - If you mean this Major Bedhead, then you should go to her site for pictures. If you mean pictures of my own bedhead... no.

pantyhose picture posted - Just get a Victoria's Secret catalogue or something. Seriously.

amish sluts - Um, no.

he came in her so hard - Um, NO.

Any searches from your sites?

Will 'National Poetry Month' never end???? Sorry, but after having E E Cummings forced on me at an early age, I've kinda been turned off to poetry. My bad .... Robert Frost, where were you then??? I guess that "Casey At The Bat" is more my speed these days!

But really, another Great Sunday post from you!! (We expect them now, you know!)

Hope your weekend was Super!!!

Sundays on your blog are guaranteed to make me laugh out loud. It started with "POEM TO THANK TEACHES," and by the end of your post, I was trying not to wet myself.

I realized that I'm gonna miss your graduation, and that makes me sad. Still, congratulations on making it this far. You're in the home stretch! I'm so proud of you. :D

Finally, while I really enjoyed your old template (especially the green banner on top), the new blue is cool and classy. I like.

After all this time, I still get searches for My Super Sweet Sixteen, even though I only wrote that one post.

A teacher post that might amuse you:

Holy mother of redesign, love! It looks great! Also, people get to your site... oddly.

Oh, and the most common search term that has led people to my blog is none other than the infamous "beef pizzle." Yup.

I love the "taller little sister", my younger brother is bigger than me too. I call him "little big brother" he calls me "big little sis". :-)
